Job Description

Founded in 1979, ASEM has actively participated in the evolution of digital information technologies and today we operate in the markets of Industrial Automation, Test, Measurement with a complete range of industrial PCs and monitors and a complete range of HMI, control, remote assistance, and Industrial IoT gateways, characterized by our own hardware, firmware, software, mechanical and system design capability.

Since 2020 we have been part of the American multinational group Rockwell Automation, a leading player operating in the industrial automation sector with headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA).

As a Summer Intern – PC Assembly and Hardware Support, you will work alongside the Production team to assemble, configure, and test industrial computer systems and hardware devices. You will gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, supporting the preparation of computer systems used for customer applications.

You will report to the Production Manager and work onsite in Artegna, Italy.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assemble desktop computers, industrial PCs, and hardware components according to technical specifications.
  • Install, configure, and update operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
  • Perform hardware testing, diagnostics, and basic troubleshooting activities to verify system functionality.
  • Follow company quality, safety, and production procedures while supporting daily manufacturing operations.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related technical field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware components and PC architecture.
  • Interest in computer assembly, hardware configuration, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Availability to work onsite during the internship period.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Experience assembling or upgrading personal computers, either through studies, personal projects, or previous internships.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and hardware driver installation.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking and hardware connectivity.
  • Experience working with technical equipment in a laboratory, workshop, or manufacturing environment.

The salary range for this position is between 500 - 700 EUR net monthly, including all bonuses.
