Come and join us for an exciting Early Career opportunity at GE Vernova, Grid Solutions office/sites, where we bring together technologies and expertise to help solve the toughest power system challenges, accelerating the global transition to a greener, more resilient, and reliable grid.The internship is a 12 months program, and it is an investment in young talents who meet the required criteria to perform in the selected role and get orientation for future roles in the energy market. This program will help you in developing general field technical skills and provide you on-the- job knowledge to serve clients sites.
Job Description
What You’ll do
- Support GEV engineer for preparation Signal List from Schematics and other applicable documents.
- Support handle engineering and field service works for [Protection Relays, Panels modification, protection logic diagram, GA/LA, Bill of Materials, Purchasing requests, Protection/SCMS/LCC Schematics, SCMS/Cyber Security Architectures, SCMS Signal list, Cable Schedule, Control Desk Drawing, IEC61850 signal mapping, etc..].
- Support for all Production documents (Wiring Table/Label list/Cable Schedule/Interpanel wiring files), CT/VT Adequacy check, Relay setting calculations.
- Support GEV engineer for Field Services activity of the Substation Automation Systems including DCS/SCS, RTU and Cyber security.
- Support all technical activities for assigned projects (EHS coordination and follow up, Site works).
- Support GEV engineer to coordinate, record tests for digital inputs, controls, measurements, interlocks, IEC61850 IED’s, SCADA signals and SCS functionalities.
- Support the installation of the SCS system at the site (Fiber optic layout, PC installation at panels, SCS consoles wiring, installation, and testing).
- Follow the project planning to ensure timely achievement of project milestones as per project schedule.
- Coordinate workplace EHS issues and ensure the availability of suitable PPE for T&C personnel, both internal and subcontracted.
What You 'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Machine Power, Electrical Power, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Control and instrumentation, Energy Engineering, Renewable energy, Electronics, cybersecurity, or/ and Artificial Intelligence, or a related field from accredited university.
- Fresh graduates up to 2 years of experience.
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English

- Arabic is a plus
- Certificate in Cybersecurity or/ and AI is an advantage
- Active listener with good communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Curious and proactive with high level of integrity, strong analytical skills, and eagerness to learn.
- A team player with the ability to communicate effectively with crosses functional teams.
- Highly organized and in systematic with solid time management skills.
- The legal right to work in Oman without company sponsorship or time restriction.
