As the Administrative Intern with the Center for Documentary Studies (CDS), you’ll contribute to a collaborative, creative environment supporting innovative documentary programs and lifelong learning opportunities such as Doc+ and Continuing Education.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting program delivery, enhancing participant experiences, and helping bring dynamic educational offerings to life across CDS programming.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate daily operations for the Doc+ program and associated summer programming
  • Support Continuing Education course logistics, including planning and administration
  • Assist and engage with visiting artists, instructors, and students
  • Coordinate events, workshops, and program logistics
  • Support communications, outreach, and marketing material development
  • Maintain program documentation, schedules, and administrative records
  • Provide general administrative and project support across CDS programming

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Experience supporting program coordination, academic programs, or continuing/professional education (Doc+ experience preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Experience interacting with diverse groups, including students, faculty, and visiting professionals

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $20.00 to USD $24.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
