About the Role

About Reapra:

At Reapra, we want to address long-term social problems for the betterment of society. In our current form, we are a venture builder trying to create new ways of building businesses for the wellbeing of the next generation and beyond. Our approach for doing this focuses on cycles of research and practice as a means for understanding how each of us interacts with our environment and ourselves - and how we can sustain our commitment to long-term problems.

A big part of this is about creating a community where Reapra can work with founders and potential that are interested in co-creating this approach with Reapra.

About the role:

This role will be part of the Time Support team at Reapra, where we focus on supporting the founders in Reapra’s portfolio through the way they use their time as a resource. Main activities are highlighted in the ‘Activities’ section below.

You will be working with a team that is primarily based in the GMT+8/+9 time zone and will need to communicate with them during those working hours. The role can also be either full-time or part-time and can be conducted either hybrid or remotely. The team environment is mainly English-speaking. Some of our founders are predominantly Japanese-speaking, so it will be beneficial if you are able to communicate in Japanese.

Activities:

Your main activities in this role will be:

  • Supporting the creation of marketing materials and website content
  • Supporting data collection activities that we conduct to understand how founders use time in relation to their research and practice activities
  • Synthesising and analysing data collected from communicating with founders
  • Communicating with potential customers via in-person and/or online means
  • Market research for potential customers in different APAC markets
  • Translating between English and Japanese (stretch criterion)

About you:

Whether you're a professional exploring a mid-career switch, a student looking to learn new things, or just feeling a little stuck or boxed in and looking to explore new possibilities - if this role has caught your eye, we’d encourage you to apply! Here’s a little more info on what we’re looking for…

We are looking for candidates with a reflective mindset who want to better understand themselves and who have a deep curiosity in their personal growth. Ideally, you will also be keen to work with team members from different cultural and disciplinary backgrounds, and open to exploring things with a beginner's perspective when learning and doing.

The candidate should feel comfortable communicating in spoken English and written English at a professional level. Ideally, you will also feel comfortable communicating in Japanese as some of the founders we support are predominantly Japanese speaking.

More generally, a strong interest how resource management is connected to the way entrepreneurs learn and impact society will be beneficial. You may also find this role interesting if you have an interest in what the future of entrepreneurship and businesses can look like and how it can connect to the next generation of society.
