More about the role

We're looking for a Digital Communications & Community Management Intern to join our Global Leadership Development Team in our Amsterdam office (hybrid work possible).

As a Digital Communications & Community Management Intern, you'll help create engaging digital spaces, compelling content, and intuitive user experiences that support leaders and managers across our global organization.

Rather than focusing on traditional HR activities, you'll work at the intersection of communication, design, digital collaboration, and community building — helping shape how leaders access information, connect with one another, and engage with our leadership platforms.

We're looking for an engaged and creative 'digital storyteller' with a strong interest in user experience and online communities. If you recognize yourself in this description, get in touch!

What you'll do

  • Design, create, and maintain engaging community SharePoint pages and digital communities

  • Develop communication materials, visual content, and campaigns that drive engagement

  • Improve the usability, structure, and overall experience of leadership platforms

  • Turn complex information into clear, attractive, and easy-to-navigate content

  • Create digital experiences that help leaders quickly find the information and resources they need

  • Support the growth and engagement of leadership communities across the organization

  • Gather user feedback and translate insights into improvements

  • Explore new Microsoft 365 capabilities and identify opportunities to improve communication and collaboration

  • Collaborate with colleagues across Talent, Learning, Communications, and HR teams

More about you

  • You are a Bachelor's (HBO) student in Communications, Communication & Multimedia Design (CMD), Creative Business, Digital Media, Marketing & Communications, Media, Information & Communication, Experience Design, User Experience (UX), or a related field

  • You have a passion for digital communication and storytelling, and enjoy creating content that is both visually appealing and user-friendly

  • You have an eye for design, usability, and online experiences, and are curious about how people interact with digital platforms

  • You have experience with, or an interest in, SharePoint and Microsoft 365

  • You are proactive, creative, and comfortable taking ownership

  • You communicate confidently in English

  • Experience with Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Teams, or Viva Engage is a plus

  • You are available from August/September 2026 to January/February 2027 (with the possibility to extend) for 32–40 hours/week

Notes

  • EU students: To be considered for this internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of this may be requested at any time.

  • Non-EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student, and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to have a letter from the university in which it states that your internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals are, and what tasks you will undertake during your internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university.

Please apply only if you can meet the aforementioned requirements.
