Student Worker (Part-Time) – Underwriting Financial Lines/Cyber, Zurich Insurance, Sweden

Are you currently studying at university and interested in the insurance industry? If so, this could be the opportunity for you. We are currently seeking a structured and detail-oriented student to join our Underwriting team for part-time work alongside your studies.

About the role

As a Student Worker in the Financial Lines and Cyber Underwriting team at Zurich, you will support our underwriters in a wide range of tasks and gain hands-on experience in a highly dynamic and growing business area. You will work closely with experienced underwriters and other internal stakeholders, giving you insight into how we assess risk, structure insurance solutions and collaborate with brokers and customers.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Provide reliable administrative support to the underwriting teams.
• Handle bookings and maintain accurate records in our underwriting systems.
• Prepare and issue policy documents and other customer-facing materials.
• Enter and update data to ensure high-quality underwriting information.
• Support underwriters in day-to-day underwriting activities.
• Assist with basic analyses and reporting.
• Gradually take on light underwriting tasks under supervision, as your knowledge and experience grow.
  
  

This position is a great stepping stone if you are curious about underwriting, risk management and the world of corporate insurance and want to develop your skills in an international, collaborative environment.

You will be hired on an hourly basis, and the working schedule will be flexible. We expect you to be able to work from the office approximately two days per week. We can offer this position for a period of one year, with the possibility of an extension.

Who we’re looking for

You’re a curious and motivated student who wants to combine your studies with meaningful work experience in corporate insurance. Ideally, you:

• Have approximately two years remaining of your university studies, preferably within business administration or law.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English (C2 level or equivalent).
• Bring solid administrative skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Are service-minded, structured and eager to learn new things.
• Enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are eager to grow and learn together with your colleagues, while also being comfortable taking responsibility and working independently.
