About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Finance Intern to join our team in Bucharest. This role offers hands-on experience across both accounting and controlling activities.  You will work closely with experienced finance professionals, contribute to key business processes, and develop valuable analytical and technical skills in a dynamic international environment.

What you´ll do:

  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with timely and accurate accounting postings, account reconciliations, and trial balance reviews
  • Prepare reports, financial computations, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with manual payments, invoicing requests, and fixed assets administration
  • Support the preparation and review of VAT journals, accounting registers, and statistical reports
  • Active participation in external and internal audit, preparation of documentation for internal control, annual counting
  • Ensure accurate processing, archiving, and maintenance of financial documentation
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and analytical reports  
  • Analyze customer payment behavior and support accounts receivable management activities
  • Review overdue balances and support credit management processes
  • Contribute to the development of reports using Business Intelligence (BI) tools and SAP scripting 
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments and support internal and external audit activities
  • Participate in finance projects focused on process improvement and digital transformation
  • Support ad-hoc financial analyses and reporting requests from the Finance team

What makes you a good fit: 

  • University degree or final-year student in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • No previous professional experience required
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Good to very good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Medium to advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Initiative and determination to achieve results
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility, curiosity, and willingness to learn
  • Interest in finance, accounting, and digital tools
  • High standards of professional ethics and accountability
