About the Role
<h3 id="3d-animator">3D Animator</h3> <h3 id="professional-summary">Professional Summary</h3> <p>Collaborate closely throughout the game creation process with the Animation Team, Producer, and Art Director. Create, integrate, and optimize high-quality animations that meet the game’s technical, production, performance, and quality requirements.</p> <h3 id="key-responsibilities">Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Collaborate with the Animation Team, Producer, and Art Director during the game creation process.</li> <li>Adapt animation work to the game’s technical and production needs.</li> <li>Produce animation sets for characters, creatures, game assets, intro sequences, transitions, and UI animation.</li> <li>Create believable, high-quality animations.</li> <li>Integrate animations directly into the Unity game engine.</li> <li>Work with 2D artists, 3D artists, technical artists, designers, and programmers.</li> <li>Ensure animations meet performance specifications and technical budgets.</li> <li>Support visualization of future features through gameplay prototyping, storyboarding, animatics, blocking, and posing.</li> <li>Maintain expected quality level.</li> </ul> <h3 id="technical-requirements-must-have">Technical Requirements (Must-have)</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Experience</strong>: At least 2 years of proven experience in animation, specifically 3D character animation.</li> <li><strong>Portfolio</strong>: A strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across animation art styles.</li> <li><strong>Software Proficiency</strong>: Proficient in Maya and Unity.</li> <li><strong>Technical Skills</strong>:<ul> <li>3D character animation</li> <li>Animation integration in a game engine</li> <li>Gameplay prototyping</li> <li>Storyboarding</li> <li>Animatics</li> <li>Blocking and posing</li> <li>Understanding of performance specifications and technical budgets.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Passion</strong>: Passion for games and extensive knowledge of successful casual and mobile games.</li> <li><strong>Work Ethic</strong>: Goal-oriented team player with the ability to meet deadlines and milestones.</li> </ul> <h3 id="desired-skills-nice-to-have">Desired Skills (Nice-to-have)</h3> <ul> <li>Knowledge of After Effects.</li> <li>Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.</li> <li>Experience with rigging and skinning.</li> <li>Knowledge of VFX creation.</li> </ul>
