Job Summary:

The Asset Management Intern will support the Asset Management team by assisting with the collection, organization, and analysis of financial and operational data for affordable housing properties. This internship offers a hands-on learning experience in real estate finance and asset management, providing exposure to budgeting, reporting, and portfolio performance tracking.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in collecting and inputting monthly financial and occupancy data into internal systems.
  • Support in identifying anomalies or unusual trends in financial reports under supervision.
  • Help track and organize project documentation, capital contributions, and budget updates.
  • Assist in updating internal tracking tools, such as lease-up summaries and draw spreadsheets.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as directed by the Asset Management team.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate records and data for properties in the portfolio.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on property performance.
  • Provide general administrative and analytical support for the department.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Current student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
  • Preferably entering Junior year.  Sophomores will be considered.
  • Minimum GPA 3.2
  • Strong interest in real estate or affordable housing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry, and formatting).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute to real-world projects.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to take initiative and solve problems independently with guidance.
