Title: Information Specialist

Hours: Part time, up to 15 hours/week
- Position Summary
The Information Specialists will serve as liaisons and representatives for the Office of Student Engagement to current and prospective students, faculty, and staff of Chaminade University and provide adequate customer service, programmatic and administrative support for all functions pertaining to the Office of Student Engagement.

- Reports to:
Direct Report to: Director and Assistant Director of Student Engagement
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as general administrative support to the Office of Student Engagement
- Develop an understanding of services, policies, and procedures of the Office of Student Engagement
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of on and off campus programs and events for students
- Provide quality customer service, communicate effectively, and serve as administrative support for clubs and organizations
- Publicize events and programs sponsored by the Office of Student Engagement
- Keep up to date with campus events/activities
- Answer calls and respond to emails, directing them appropriately
- Responsible for daily operations of the Vi and Paul Loo Student Center, tracking inventory, general maintenance, and checking out recreational equipment
- Maintain familiarity with evacuation plans and assist during emergencies as needed
- Provide a friendly, inclusive, and service-oriented environment for all guests
- Other duties as assigned

- Education and Experience
Minimum
- Full-Time Day Undergraduate Student
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- No Judicial Hold or Probationary Status
- Physical Requirements
Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
- Other Requirements:
- This is a Part-time Non-Exempt Student Worker position. Depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and a varying schedule
- Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required
- Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner
