Hours: Part time, up to 15 hours/week


  1. Position Summary

The Marketing Specialists are responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of marketing for the Office of Student Engagement including social media, graphic design, and print media.

Direct Report to: Director and Assistant Director of Student Engagement


  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop content, traffic, and brand awareness to be distributed across all media platforms, including real-time activities of the Office of Student Engagement
  • Keep all event information up to date and have an active knowledge of campus-wide events
  • Work closely with Office of Student Engagement marketing team members on projects to market, advertise, and successfully outreach to the larger Chaminade community 
  • Communicate with programming specialists, information specialists and community outreach specialists to successfully execute Office of Student Engagement programming 
  • Work closely with the CSGA Vice President of Communications to market, advertise, and successfully outreach to the larger Chaminade Community 
  • Monitor analytics and effectiveness of the marketing strategy and provide regular progress updates
    • Design posts to sustain follower engagement and create excitement for upcoming events and initiatives
  • Propose and execute new ways to attract prospective followers, including promotions and contests
  • Advertise events by connecting with students regularly through tabling, street team promotion, and social media
  • Capture events and programs through photography
  • Assist with marketing for events via flyer, poster, and digital media design
  • Assist with maintaining various bulletin boards and flier posting
  • Other duties as assigned

  1. Education and Experience

Minimum

  • Full-Time Day Undergraduate Student
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • No Judicial Hold or Probationary Status


  1. Physical Requirements

Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.


  1. Other Requirements: 
  • This is a Part-time Non-Exempt Student Worker position. Depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and a varying schedule
  • Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required
  • Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner
