Job Description

EHS Intern
 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in monthly EHS Committee Meetings and prepare the meeting and communication slides deck and perform minutes taking.
  • Participate in monthly EHS Inspections of the Site and prepare the inspection schedule.
  • Participate in EHS Incident Investigations to identify the root causes.
  • Tracking Corrective Action and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), Compliance Obligations and other tasks to closure in the EHS Information Management System, beacon.
  • Perform trend analysis for incidents, inspections and audits.
  • Schedule trainings for EHS programs and provide logistical support for the trainings.
  • Coordinate Industrial Hygiene (IH) monitoring and Occupational Health (OH) assessments.
  • Support EHS audits and workshops, including preparation and logistics arrangements.
  • Participate in EHS promotion activities in the Site.
  • Assist in maintaining EHS programs in accordance with local regulatory and Corporate EHS requirements.
  • Support EHS Department in ensuring all Site’s EHS requirements are met.
  • Participate in Continual Improvement of the Site’s EHS Management System.
  • Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements.
  • Commitment to a fair and respectful relationship to others and behaviour in accordance with Takeda’s Code of Conduct.
  • Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology or Workplace Safety and Health (WSH).
  • Keen interest to work in a biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Basic knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH).

  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive towards job responsibilities.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
