About the Role

[What the role is]

Passionate about culture, heritage, and community engagement?

As an intern, you will support the planning and execution of cultural events, programmes, and outreach campaigns, while working with community partners and volunteers to promote Chingay: Road to UNESCO.

You will gain exposure to stakeholder engagement, programme evaluation, and heritage promotion initiatives, while contributing to meaningful projects that strengthen community appreciation of our shared cultural identity.

[What you will be working on]

Event Planning & Execution
• Plan and coordinate Chingay: Road to UNESCO roadshows
• Support Chingay Children Book reading activations and Education Truck deployments
• Handle event logistics, setup, and post-event documentation

Partnership Development
• Attend partnership meetings with potential campaign supporters
• Research prospective partners and prepare briefing materials
• Maintain partnership database and track collaboration progress

Volunteer Management
• Recruit and onboard volunteers through various channels
• Conduct orientation sessions and provide ongoing support
• Build relationships with volunteer coordinators and organise appreciation activities

Campaign Support
• Support overall Chingay: Road to UNESCO campaign activities
• Assist with content creation and promotional materials
• Compile progress reports and conduct post-campaign analysis

Collaborative Opportunities:
• Work with event management, marketing, and community outreach teams
• Collaborate with external partners, schools, and community organisations
• Participate in cross-functional campaign planning meetings

[What we are looking for]

• Undergraduate, diploma is welcome, individual with social media marketing background is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, powerpoint and soft skills (e.g., communication, adaptability)
• Willing to work during weekends for Chingay: Road to UNESCO roadshows, “My Little Chingay Float” reading sessions and children activities/engagement with libraries, preschools and community events.
• Assist to coordinate PA NDP Show Contingent recruitment and audition.
