About the Role
Job Responsibilities:
  • Works with Pharmacists and Technicians to ensure proper patient care with prescriptions and customer service. 
  • Assists with prescription drug orders, including transfers, phoned-in scripts, and voicemails, all under direct supervision of the pharmacist.
  • Communicates with patients, clinicians and medical providers in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Assists with immunizations as allowed by law.
  • Assists Patients with obtaining medication and confirms ability to afford medication before pharmacy.
  • Performs the prescription filling process.
  • Assists with POS tasks.
  • Assists with clarifications of drug orders and communication with physicians and provider’s office.
  • Meets the minimum requirement of 10 working hours/week.
  • Works the required 2 weekend shifts/month.
  • Assists with quarterly and/or annual inventory counts (minimum of 1/year).
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Participates in pharmacy staff meetings.
  • Completes required training as assigned, within established timeframes.
  • Assists in inventory management, including controlled drugs as required by law.
  • Works cooperatively with other staff.
  • Assists with pharmacy compounding as required by law and per policy.
  • Provides patient information and counseling.
  • Complies with all Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Education: Must be currently enrolled in a School of Pharmacy.
Experience:  
Retail pharmacy experience preferred.
