GP Strategies Government Solutions is seeking two summer Engineering Interns. The internship will last approximately 8-10 weeks and will be up to 40 hours per week.


Job Summary:

We hiring for an internship positions designed for students interested in science and engineering. This internship provides exposure to real engineering operations, field support, and document management within an active technical environment.


This is an excellent opportunity for students who want practical experience and insight into engineering workflows, fabrication support, and technical documentation.


Interns will support our engineering team through a variety of hands on and administrative tasks, including:

• Organizing and digitizing historical documents and engineering drawings into company systems

• Supporting technicians and engineers with field activities and shop floor fabrication tasks

• Drafting memos, procedures, and technical documents for the Engineering Team in support of ongoing operations


Requirements:

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Graduating high school seniors pursuing a science or engineering field, or

• Current university students pursuing an engineering field

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

General physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on location of assignment.

Assignment Location – Chatsworth, CA

  • Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Fingering (typing), communicating, repetitive motions.
  • Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
  • Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
