The Baker Hughes 6 months Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or recently graduated, to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. Our internships will give you first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that are aligned to ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology.

Partner with the best

The Product Management Intern will support Product Managers and Program Managers in the execution of product and technology initiatives. The role is designed for a student or early-career candidate seeking hands-on exposure to product lifecycle management, program execution, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making in an industrial technology environment.

As an Intern, you will be responsible for:

Product Management Support

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing customer feedback, market information, and competitive insights.
  • Support the development of product requirements, value propositions, and business case inputs under guidance.
  • Help prepare product roadmaps, market assessments, and product and market analyses.
  • Collect and organize customer and stakeholder feedback to support product decisions.
  • Support data analysis related to product performance, reliability, quality, cost, and customer value.
  • Assist Product Managers in preparing reviews, presentations, and leadership updates.
  • Contribute to go-to-market and lifecycle management materials under guidance.

Program Management Support

  • Assist Program Managers in tracking project milestones, actions, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Maintain program dashboards, status reports, risk logs, and action-item trackers.
  • Support meeting preparation, notes, documentation, and follow-up activities.
  • Help monitor schedule progress and identify potential execution risks or blockers.
  • Assist with coordination across engineering, operations, commercial, supply chain, service, and finance teams.
  • Support the preparation of project milestone reviews, program review meetings, and execution updates.

Business and Operational Analysis

  • Analyze data and prepare reports to support decisions and prioritization.
  • Help track selected product, program, and business metrics.
  • Perform benchmarking and research on industry trends, customers, competitors, and technologies.
  • Support process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to lessons learned, templates, and best-practice documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Product Development, Technology Management, or a related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to work during the internship period in accordance with local requirements and program guidelines.

Preferred

  • Interest in Product Management, Program Management, technology strategy, energy technology, or industrial products.

  • Exposure to project management methodologies or structured problem-solving approaches.

  • Experience with data analysis, dashboarding, or visualization tools.

  • Familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, energy, or industrial technology environments.

  • Final presentation summarizing findings, contributions, and recommended next steps.

Internship Scope

This internship provides structured learning opportunities while working alongside experienced Product Managers and Program Managers on real business and technology initiatives. The intern will support defined workstreams under guidance, with emphasis on learning, structured analysis, coordination, documentation, and preparation of decision-support materials.

The fixed allowance for this position will be between this range: 600 - 1000 € gross monthly.
