We are offering an exciting internship opportunity within the Product Leadership team for Clean Power Solutions (CPS). The selected candidate will support strategic initiatives focused on power generation, energy transition, grid resilience, decarbonization technologies, and emerging energy solutions serving industrial, utility, and data center customers.
The intern will work at the intersection of technology, commercial strategy, market analysis, product management, and innovation, supporting the development and execution of growth initiatives across Baker Hughes' Clean Power Solutions portfolio. Activities may include technology assessment, market intelligence, customer value proposition development, business case analysis, competitive benchmarking, and support to new product introduction (NPI) programs.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to advanced energy technologies including gas power generation, carbon capture, geothermal energy, waste heat recovery, hydrogen, energy storage, integrated power systems, and data center power solutions.
The internship is structured as an initial 6-month assignment with the possibility of extension for an additional 6 months, based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Product Leaders in the development and execution of product strategies across the Clean Power Solutions portfolio.
- Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking on energy transition technologies, power generation markets, data centers, utilities, and industrial customers.
- Assist in the development of business cases, growth strategies, and market-entry assessments for new technologies and services.
- Support the creation of customer value propositions, commercial collateral, technical presentations, and executive-level reports.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, regulatory developments, and technology roadmaps influencing the power generation sector.
- Develop quantitative analyses including market sizing, financial modeling, project economics, lifecycle value assessments, and technology comparisons.
- Support product launch activities, New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, and commercialization programs.
- Contribute to customer engagement preparations, strategic workshops, Voice of Customer (VOC) activities, and executive presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Engineering, Sales, Commercial Operations, Product Management, Technology, and Finance.
- Support the development of dashboards, KPIs, business intelligence tools, and management reporting.
- Participate in innovation projects exploring future energy technologies and integrated energy solutions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Energy Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Or related technical disciplines
- Strong interest in energy technologies, power generation, sustainability, and decarbonization solutions.
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics, energy systems, power generation technologies, or industrial processes.
- Familiarity with data analysis, engineering calculations, and quantitative problem-solving.
- Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Basic experience with market research, business analysis, or engineering projects is considered a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to synthesize complex technical and commercial information..
- Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to work in a fast-paced international environment.

- Be pursuing or have recently completed a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Electrical, Aerospace, Energy Engineering, or related disciplines.

- Familiarity with business case development, financial analysis, or market assessment methodologies.
- Experience with data analytics, business intelligence, or engineering simulation tools.
- Interest in product management, technology strategy, and innovation leadership.

The fixed allowance for this position will be between this range: 600 - 1000 € gross monthly.
The allowance will be established in accordance with criteria related to the candidate’s academic status and their distance from the workplace.
