About the Role

 Vestas Factory

Student / Trainee / Apprentice | Full-Time | Quality, Health, Safety and Environment 

In Taranto, Vestas Blades Italia S.R.L. is operating one of the most modern blade factories in the world. In this factory we build blades for both on- and offshore wind turbines. Our clients range between small and medium local enterprises, project developers and large international independent power producers and grid operators.

To expand our tactical capabilities, we are seeking a student specializing in Quality and Process Engineering. The "Quality and Process Engineering" department is responsible for the entire quality and process of the production lines present at the Vestas Blades Italia production Plant in Taranto.

 

On top of this, it is also a key stakeholder for improvements of the process in terms of cost of poor quality (reworks and scraps costs reduction).

 

As an intern you will closely work together with our engineers, the operation team and various project and factory stakeholders. The Department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is key.

 

Responsibilities

You will work as an intern at a technical level in a role that reflects how your daily work will look like after you graduate.

In practice, the nature of the work is relevant to the engineering education and consists of both development oriented tasks and tasks of a more routine nature. As an intern, you participate in our regular work processes and thus become an essential part of everyday life. The tasks can be related to the operation and quality of systems as well as optimization of processes in all types of technical systems. Additionally, you may assist with planning tasks, management etc. with a particular focus on optimization, operation, safety and the environment.

 

Furthermore, you will learn about the following:

 

• ISO 9001

 

• Problem solving

 

• Ad hoc task in different departments across Vestas' value chain

 

Qualifications & Competencies

• The ability to analyze issues and find practical solutions

• Very good use of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Good English knowledge (both written and oral)

• Willingness to work effectively in a cross-functional team

• You are willing to build knowledge in new technical fields and responsibilities.

• You bring solid organizational abilities, can adjust to changing needs, and are ready to contribute

• You are no stranger to working efficiently

• You are structured and can set priorities - even when things get a little hectic.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
