About The Company
TPIRC is a non-profit clinical care and research center that focuses on the development of cutting-edge, individualized treatment protocols for rare and orphan diseases utilizing comprehensive diagnostic tools and patient-driven research. Our mission is two-fold – to advance treatment discovery at a pace which helps our patients today, while building a scalable model of success to accelerate the rate of research discovery for all diseases.
About the Role

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Clinical Operations & Business Development Intern to join our team. This unique internship offers a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between hands-on clinical care and healthcare business strategy.

In this role, you will gain invaluable direct clinical exposure through a rotational shadowing program, while simultaneously driving key business growth. You will collaborate directly with Clinical and Business Development teams to analyze clinical data, assist in compiling a published case study, and translate that research into high-impact marketing collateral for major medical conferences and provider outreach.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Clinical Rotations & Shadowing

  • Participate in a structured, rotational clinical shadowing program across various clinic locations.
  • Observe patient-provider interactions, clinical workflows, and daily operations to gain a comprehensive understanding of healthcare delivery.

Research & Business Development

  • Collaborate closely with our Logistics Physician and the BD team to compile, clean, and analyze clinical data.
  • Contribute to the development and preparation of data for an upcoming published case study.
  • Identify key clinical trends and data points that highlight our clinical efficacy and value proposition.

Marketing & Conference Collateral

  • Translate complex clinical data and case study findings into professional, digestible marketing materials (e.g., slide decks, case study briefs, infographics).
  • Assist in preparing high-quality collateral to be used at upcoming medical conferences and direct-to-provider office visits.
  • Ensure all outward-facing materials are polished, clinically accurate, and aligned with company branding.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Pre-Med, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong data compilation skills; comfortable working with Excel, Google Sheets, or basic data visualization tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate dense scientific/clinical data into clear, persuasive business collateral (experience with Canva, PowerPoint, or Adobe Suite is a plus).
  •  High emotional intelligence and professional conduct, especially when shadowing in patient-facing clinical environments.

Physical requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk between multiple office locations that include the use of stairs (elevator is only available in some instances). This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
