About The Company
At Optiver, we continuously quote buy and sell prices across financial markets, using our own capital and advanced technology to provide liquidity at scale across products, venues and market conditions. We are a global company with offices in Amsterdam, Sydney, Chicago, Austin, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai, London, New York, and Singapore.
About the Role

At Optiver, our edge comes from exceptional people and finding them starts with our Recruitment teams. Our Recruitment Operations team plays a key role in ensuring the hiring process runs smoothly for candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.

We are looking for a highly organized Recruitment Operations Intern to support our team through Campus Recruitment season. Based in Amsterdam, you will be a key point of contact for candidates and recruiters, keeping our busiest season running smoothly while getting hands-on experience in how a world-class recruitment function operates.

This is a 6-month internship for 24–32 hours per week, flexible around your study schedule. The preferred start date is 1 September, with flexibility to begin earlier if you are available.

What you'll do

As a Recruitment Operations Intern, you will be a key player in our Campus Recruitment efforts. You will have real ownership, with the following as your primary responsibilities:

  • Own the recruitment inbox — manage and respond to candidate inquiries throughout the Campus Recruitment season, ensuring efficient and positive candidate experience.

  • Own the recruitment support channel — action support requests from our Campus Recruiters, keeping the team unblocked and moving.

  • Assist with day-to-day coordination using our applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) — reviewing assessments and scheduling interviews on an ad hoc basis.

  • Drive continuous improvement through leveling up our processes, workflows, documentation, as well as participating in team projects.

Who you are

  • Currently studying towards, or recently graduated from, a Bachelor's or Master's degree (WO/HBO)

  • Based in the Netherlands and do not require visa sponsorship

  • Available for 24–32 hours per week over a 6-month period

  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Outlook

  • Able to handle competing priorities and to work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment

  • Proactive problem-solving mentality and an ownership mindset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Tech savviness (Greenhouse, Confluence, AI proficiency are a plus but not expected)

Who we are

At Optiver, our mission is to constantly improve the market by injecting liquidity, providing accurate pricing, increasing transparency and acting as a stabilizing force no matter the market conditions. With a focus on continuous improvement, we participate in the safeguarding of healthy and efficient markets for everyone who participates. As one of the largest market making institutions, we are a trusted partner of 70+ exchanges across the globe.

What you'll get

You'll join a culture of collaboration and excellence, where you'll be surrounded by curious thinkers and creative problem solvers. You'll gain hands-on experience at the heart of a high-performing recruitment team, working alongside talented colleagues from over 50 different countries.

In addition, you'll receive:

  • A competitive internship/working student compensation

  • Fully paid first-class commuting expenses

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner, world-class barista coffee, in-house physio and chair massages, organized sports and leisure activities, and Friday afternoon drinks

  • Exposure to how Optiver hires across Trading, Technology, and Research
