About the Role

Title:  Accounting Intern

Department:  Accounting

Reports to:  Director of Accounting or Accounting Supervisor


Accounting Intern – Duties 

Accounts Payable – Compare receiving documents and supplier invoices and process invoices for payment. Reconcile invoices and receivers. Perform supplier statement reconciliations for past due invoices.

General Ledger – Assist with bank and clearing account reconciliations.

Inventory Management – Review and make cost variance corrections for inventory. Assist with audits of cycle counts.

Logistics – Assist transportation managers with freight booking and analysis.

 

Must have High School Diploma or GED.  Excel experience is required.


The amount of time allotted for each task on a weekly basis will be determined by the number of available hours of the intern. All areas of work will rotate at least on a bi-weekly basis. A work station for the intern will be provided in the area they are assigned to.

Minimum weekly hours would be 12 hours with a maximum of 25 hours. The position will be classified as a part time paid position.
