Wage Range: $12.00-13.00/hour


Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): 

To provide planning, facilitation and logistics support for the Taylor Center’s cultural, social and educational programming and for student organizations’ sponsored events.

  • Secondary research 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, assess and lead small group conversations and support Taylor Center selected events and programs:

  • Collaborate on developing event engagement proposals

  • Collaborate on team projects and facilitate conversations

  • Create and distribute publicity on campus and online

  • Execute event logistics (space reservations, food catering, print orders, etc.)

  • Drive college vehicles (if authorized as certified driver) 

  • Attend training, meetings and programs sessions, committees, etc. 


  • Assist on development of online, visual and social platform communications for Taylor Center Programs.

  • Serve as a liaison between student organizations, college staff, and departments.

  • Collaborate on special projects as needed.


Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) 

Required:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and Google applications

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Experience with event logistics at St. Olaf. 

  • Experience with group facilitation


Desired:

  • 1-year experience with event logistics at St. Olaf. 

  • Availability to continue in this position for a minimum of 2 academic years

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and social media management

  • Familiarity and knowledge of the Taylor Center’s activities and programs

  • College certified driver

  • Student leadership experience
