About the Role

Who We Are 🌍

Limatica is a young and dynamic startup revolutionizing the battery diagnostics space. Our mission? Bring battery cell quality to the next level to reduce scrap rates by boosting an own developed measurement method. After being founded and prototype being developed in 2023 & 2024, first hires and pilot partners followed in 2025. In 2026 we are planning to scale the technology beyond pilot projects and are looking for passionate talents that want to create and build.

What You'll Do 🤖

As our Working Student / Intern for our mechanical builds, you'll get your hands directly on our test hardware. Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

Building Mechanical Test Setups: Hands-on assembly and wiring of hardware setups and test rigs for battery cell testing — from single components to full test stations with all aspects from mechanical to automation

Screwing, Fitting, Fixing: You genuinely enjoy „Schrauben" — assembling, adjusting, and fine-tuning mechanical parts until everything fits and works.

Prototyping & Iteration: Support the team in designing, building and improving prototypes, translating sketches into CAD drawings and finally into working hardware.

Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical issues on test setups and directly help fix them together with our hardware team.

Optional: Supporting Battery Cell Testing: Work closely with the team in Chemnitz to test battery cells in different environments to understand voltage noise behavior.
