As a Working Student in the Corporate Affairs & Communications department you will work closely
with the Public Affairs team and support the analysis of regulatory developments, the
development of political positions and engagement with decision-makers.

Location: Arnsberg-Müschede, Remote
Working hours: 15 – 20 hours/ week
Duration: October 2026 – February 2027
 

Your Responsibilities
Political monitoring & analysis:

  • You analyse EU and national legislative processes (e.g. circular economy, energy,
    decarbonisation) and assess their impact on the hygiene paper industry and WEPA.

Strategic public affairs work:

  • You support the development of position papers, briefings and key political messages.

Stakeholder management:

  • You prepare and follow up on meetings with policymakers, associations and other
    relevant stakeholders.

Communication & content:

  • You create presentations, internal updates and policy analyses for management and
    internal stakeholders.

Project work:

  • You contribute to public affairs projects and campaigns (e.g. competitiveness,
    sustainability, energy policy)

 

Your Profile

Qualification:

  • You are in an advanced stage of your Bachelor's degree or enrolled in a Master's
    programme, ideally in Political Science, Economics, Law, Engineering, or a comparable
    field of study.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • You have a strong interest in political regulation, industrial policy and sustainability.
  • You have gained initial practical experience with political processes at EU or national
    level.
  • You are proficient in using MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

Languages:

  • You have excellent written and spoken German and English language skills.

Working:

  • You work independently, in a structured and analytical manner, and stand out through
    your conscientious approach to work as well as your confident communication with a
    wide range of stakeholders.
  • You have a quick grasp of complex topics, enjoy working on challenging subject matters,
    and are able to present insights in a clear, understandable and target group-oriented way.

Personality:

  • You enjoy working in a team, demonstrate a high level of initiative, and communicate
    confidently and purposefully.
