About the Role

ABOUT THE ROLE

Maharishi International University (MIU) Athletics is building the MIU Pioneers program from the ground up, integrating competitive excellence with Consciousness-Based Sports (CBS) — a methodology that trains athletes across four levels of performance: Spiritual, Emotional, Mental, and Physical. As MIU pursues NAIA membership, the Graduate Assistant Women's Basketball plays a hands-on role in day-to-day program operations while gaining real coaching, recruiting, and athletics administration experience in a startup environment.

Working alongside the Head Basketball coach, the GA supports training, recruiting, and game-day operations as the program completes its founding roster and pursues NAIA membership.

  • Openness to learning and integrating Consciousness-Based Sports (CBS) principles into daily coaching and team culture
  • Availability to work a maximum of 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as the competition schedule requires
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and willingness to drive university vehicles (including the team van/bus) for practices, competitions, and recruiting travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Personal practice of Transcendental Meditation or genuine interest in mindfulness-based performance training (not required)

Game-Day & Program Operations

  • Support training and game-day operations, including court setup, scorer's table support, and home-game logistics
  • Drive the team van/bus to practices, games, and recruiting events as needed

Content Creation & Media

  • Create graphics, photos, and video content to promote the program across MIU Athletics channels
