About the Role

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT POSITION OPPORTUNITY

Bradley University Police Department (BUPD) in Campustown is seeking dedicated student workers to serve as Office Support. In this role, student workers will be assigned various office tasks as needed to support the administration functions of the department. Additionally, student workers will serve as front desk receptionists, playing a crucial role in creating a positive and helpful atmosphere for students and visitors. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist students and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner. 
  • Direct individuals to the appropriate resources, offices, or an officer. 
  • Maintain a helpful and approachable presence at the front desk. 
  • Assist with general office tasks and projects as required. 
  • Ability to work with confidential information and records. 
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining office supplies, equipment, and storage areas to ensure an efficient and orderly workspace. 

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications:
  • A warm and welcoming attitude that promotes a positive work environment, both in person and through electronic communication (email/telephone). 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with all visitors. 
  • Familiarity with applications like Google Docs, Sheets, and Gmail. 
  • This position requires availability 2–3 days per week between the hours. Work schedules will be arranged in coordination with the supervisor.
  • A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. 

Eligibility 

This opportunity is open to any current Bradley undergraduate students (Freshman, Sophomores and Junior) of all majors. Interest in continued summer employment is preferred.
