Data Scientist - AI/ML

Designs, develops and maintains software products. Analyzes requirements and develops innovative, useful software solutions for customers. Modifies existing software products to add new functionality, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance usability. May participate in all aspects of development from detailed programming to high-level system design.

Nordson Test & Inspection, a leading provider of advanced inspection and testing solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist for generative AI to join our team in Eckental, Germany. Summary of the role

In your role as AI Software Engineer Intern your aim is to support the AI team in building solutions and take over engineering tasks within the team.

This role involves a lot of learning and the ability to learn fast in a domain which is evolving all the time.

Role and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow engineers to create an AI solution in the domain of computer vision

• The role involves coding in python.

• Investigate data provided by the AI team and find patterns in it.

• Report results of the exploration within the dataset to the team lead and create a report.

• Utilize libraries like, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Sci-Kit learn and Pandas.

Skills and Qualifications

• PhD/Masters in related field and experience with generative AI

• Experience in computer vision

• Software Skills in Python

• Knowledge in Generative AI

• Knowledge in statistics and math which are necessary to work in the field of AI

• Interest to the domain and be an active member of the team

• Having the will to integrate in an international team which might need to adjust active hours on certain occasions
