ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Conceptualize and produce compelling content for CASAS social media accounts, fostering active engagement with our audience.
- Contribute to ongoing photography and video-driven needs on social, to develop/edit/produce video and concepts.
- Ensure that all content aligns with CASAS and University guidelines to maintain brand consistency.
- Adhere to the established social media content calendar for timely post publication.
- Collaborate closely with other creative and university teams for social media assignments.
- Analyze social media metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct research on competitor content and promotional strategies to glean insights into industry best practices.
- Contribute to special projects and events that enhance CASAS's marketing initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Liberty University student in good standing with the University
- Able to work between 12-16 hours a week (between the hours of 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday)
- Possess a creative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn
- Able to give and receive creative feedback
- Understanding of social media platforms
- Professionalism to interact with department and university leaders
- Eligible for Federal Work Study, Work Assistant, or International Work Supplement (depending on position)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of social media management tools and methods
- Experience in social media content creation

Communication and Comprehension
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner.
- Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business and community customers and associates.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
Problem Solving
- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Physical and Sensory Abilities
- Frequently required to travel to local and campus locations.
- Occasionally required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
- Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
- Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
- Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The CASAS operations team office is in DeMoss Hall on Liberty University’s campus; however, the student content creator position also works in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations on and off campus.
Driving Requirements
If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee’s position.
Work Hours
Varies depending on class schedule. On certain occasions, the student is expected to work shifts outside standard business hours, particularly when providing coverage for events like Career Fairs, Welcome Week, and other high-profile events. In such cases, the student is responsible for working diligently throughout the entire duration of the event.

Starting at $12.77
Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum wage per hour. Pay may vary by position and department based on job responsibilities, required skills, available funding, and market conditions.
