JOB SUMMARY

As a Sales Intern at Merrill Manufacturing, you'll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced sales professionals while contributing to real projects that support business growth. This internship offers exposure to the full sales process—from market research and lead generation to customer engagement and sales strategy. You'll develop valuable communication, problem-solving, and business skills while learning how a successful sales organization drives results.


WORK RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Support sales and business development efforts by identifying and researching prospective customers.
  • Assist with lead generation activities and customer outreach campaigns.
  • Participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and sales presentations.
  • Conduct market  research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
  • Create and update sales materials, presentations, and marketing resources.
  • Learn how to use CRM and ERP systems to manage customer relationships and track sales activities.
  • Analyze sales  data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build relationships with customers through phone, email, virtual meetings, an in-person interactions.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer service, and operations teams to understand the complete customer experience.
  • Assist customers by helping identify solutions that best meet their needs.
  • Shadow experienced sales professionals and gain insight into consultative sellingtechniques and account management.
  • Participate in professional development, coaching, and training opportunities throughout  the internship.
  • Contribute to key projects that support the sales team's goals and overall business objectives.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.



Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  

· Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Management, Communications, or a related field.

· Must be entering sophomore year or higher.

  • Basic knowledge of sales and marketing concepts.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Must have the right to legally work in the United States.

Must have transportation to and from work. Housing offered if needed.
