About Business Administration & Finance:

The Business Administration and Finance office is the Headquarters of the Corporation. The BAF office has the task of oversight of all programs and student organizations expenditures. The general purpose of AS is to promote student awareness of and competence in the practice of democratic citizenship among the members of AS, to ensure the full and equal representation in the affairs and government of AS and all its members, to provide facilities and programs capable of satisfying the needs and interest of all the members of AS, and to promote free and open means of communication between all members of AS.

Job Functions:

  • Assist in maintaining and replenish Petty Cash Fund
  • Compiling, verifying accuracy and sorting information to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output
  • Retrieving data as requested
  • Maintaining and updating the database system as necessary
  • Monitor invoices and payments
  • Provide clerical and filing support
  • Special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Must be a currently enrolled SFSU student with 6 units minimum for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates.
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Accurate math skills
  • Working Knowledge of computer applications including the MS Office Suite for Macintosh; strong skills in MS Word and MS excel desirable
  • Ability to analyze financial data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to establish & maintain cooperative working relationships with others
  • Ten-key by touch
  • Business Administration Major preferred
