About the Role

Student assistant, Global Corporate Business Development

Join our Corporate Business Development team.

We are looking for a structured and detail-oriented Student Assistant to support a key strategic project within our Global Corporate Business Development (BD) function. The role will focus on assisting in the migration of critical company data from an existing central database to a new and improved platform.

Initially, you will support the BD team with data handling, quality checking and cleaning as well as system coordination and practical tasks related to the migration. As you gain familiarity with the systems and processes, you will gradually take on more responsibility and play a key role in driving the operational aspects of the project.

For this role, you must be currently enrolled in a relevant higher education at a Danish university or in similar education in Denmark ideally having completed the first 2 years of your studies. The position is based at our headquarters in Valby, where we expect you to be on-site working up to a maximum of 20 hours per week and initially time-limited to 6 months.

Your new role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the migration from the current database to the new operating platform
  • Assist with data validation, structuring, and migration tasks
  • Help ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems
  • Document processes and contribute to creating structured workflows
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the BD and IT teams
  • Over time, take ownership of selected workstreams within the migration project

Your future team

Global Corporate Business Development focuses on identifying and creating new growth opportunities for Lundbeck. This includes identifying and evaluating external M&A, licensing and partnering opportunities, managing collaborations, and supporting strategic initiatives that expand the company’s portfolio and long-term value. BD plays a key role in connecting scientific, commercial, and strategic perspectives to drive innovation and business growth. The department is part of the Corporate Portfolio & Product Strategy area (CPPS). We are an engaged team of 17 professionals with backgrounds across science, finance, economics and business administration with the majority of the team based in Copenhagen.

What you bring to the team

We are looking for a person with flair for structuring and managing large sets of data with an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be structured and curious and creatively driven with a positive mindset. Importantly, you will enjoy working with both the details and the bigger picture.

Ideally, you are:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree in Denmark (e.g., Business, IT, Data Science, Molecular Biology, BioMedicine or similar having completed the first 2 years)
  • Strong interest in IT systems and experience with data handling and knowledge of the MS Office package
  • Proactive and able to take initiative as responsibilities grow
  • A good communicator and have the ability to work collaboratively
  • Interested in the pharmaceutical industry overall and its value chain
  • Able to work independently with complex issues
  • Personally driven, autonomous, and have a self-motivating ability
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
