Job Description

This position manages manufacturing resources applied to objectives of one or more manufacturing sections or shift(s). Expectations are that this position will assist the Manufacturing Engineer or Engineering Manager to perform activities related to continuous improvement projects.

The Industrial Engineering - Trainee has the authority and total responsibility to maintain production processes in constant continuous improvement with the objective of reducing costs and facilitating the operation for the associate to establish a more comfortable work environment.

The regular activities of the Industrial Engineering - Trainee are:

Develop strategies to improve manufacturing and reduce waste, as well as perform line balancing.

Monitor Manufacturing Procedures and make changes as required.

Install new equipment or technology to improve efficiency.

Participate in continuous improvement and 5'S of the area.

Carry out the design, purchase and installation of equipment that helps improve efficiency or the product.

Develop concepts and designs to bring innovative solutions to complex problems.

Work with External Engineering Companies preparing the specifications of the machinery for the purchase of the equipment.

Assist in the analysis of production and product performance, identifying solutions that help improve it, achieving cost reduction goals.

Responsible for completing specific tasks of the assigned project.

Participate in cross-functional teams to meet project objectives within assigned deadlines.

The periodic activities of the Industrial Engineering - Trainee are:

Support equipment calibrations by generating the required documentation.

Assist Engineers in collecting signatures on required documentation.

Train personnel in pilot or special validation runs.

The eventual activities of the Industrial Engineering – Trainee are:

Requirement

Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering. In previous internships or Manufacturing Engineering department

Statistics. AutoCAD LT. Statistical analysis. Quick Learning, take initiatives and achieve results. Skills in using computers using a Windows environment. Excellent Communication and writing. Be multifunctional with knowledge of deadlines.
