About the Role

Position: Trainee in the area of ​​Wholesale and Business Banking audit

Form of employment: The contract of mandate. The offer is addressed to students and persons up to 2 years after graduation who want to gain real professional experience in internal audit in a commercial bank with focus on corporate clients area.

Place: Warszawa (mixed home & office)

Our team

We are internal audit function responsible for delivering assurance services to ING Bank Ślaski S.A..  With 37 experts, divided into 4 teams, we cover all activities of the Bank and its subsidiaries. Our team is responsible for auditing of all processes and products for wholesale and business banking clients (meaning small, medium, large companies and financial institutions), including lending and financial markets. We also cooperate with internal audit units within ING Group to effectively use our common expertise and exchange knowledge.

Currently we are looking for a trainee with good communication skills who will perform audits on lending processes and other bank products.

Your key responsibilities would be:

Supporting the audit team during audits, specifically:

  • performing  internal audits according to audit methodology
  • performing work as an audit team member during particular audit projects with focus on: identification of key types of risk, assessment of design and operating effectiveness of controls
  • delivering on time documentation of performed test procedures

Our expectations:

  • the status of a student or graduate of undergraduate/graduate studies (up to 2 years from graduation) preferably in banking or finance area
  • knowledge of lending processes for corporate clients (small, medium, large companies) and financial institutions gained either in business or in audit functions; or willingness to develop knowledge in this area
  • advanced written and spoken English
  • professional written and spoken Polish
  • MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • analytical and synthesis skills
