Work Schedule: 10-20 hours/week, Monday through Friday between 8:30am -5:00pm with some availability evenings/weekends for events

Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Ongoing

Pay Rate: $11.00-12.50/hr

POSITION SUMMARY - Marketing and Events Assistant – Can include the following: capturing photos at Mission Waco Programs & special events, highlight videos, and assisting ensuring logistics are completed. Assisting in the planning and execution of Mission Waco fundraising events. Creating content for social media in relations to special events, sponsorships, and annual campaign strategies. DSLR Camera and knowledge of Adobe Premier required. MUST BE ELIGIBLE for FEDERAL WORK-STUDY. This is off-campus employment, so reliable transportation is important. 

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION – Serve alongside the Director of Events and Communication to plan and execute fundraising events. This position supports our 5 major fundraisers including our Annual Celebration Banquet, Golf Tournament, Race ONE 5K, Fashion with a Passion Style Show and Champions of Service Luncheon. This role includes attending special events. 

REQUIRED HARD SKILLS - Ability to operate a DSLR or 4K camera, and proficiency in editing with Adobe Premier. Creating content on design platforms. Social Media knowledge preferred.

REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS - Flexible attitude, ability to stay organized, willingness to learn.

LEARNING OUTCOMES - Relationship building with sponsors and vendors. Basic event planning skills. Learn multitasking projects between a variety of programs. Improve technical skills of photography and videography and expand horizons of living in the Waco community.

Hourly Rate: $11-$12.50/hour (depending on new or returning student worker status and/or any recognized special skill level)
