Pay Rate: $11.00-12.50/hr

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY - Assists and supports the Chief Village Officer in the administrative tasks of managing a permanent supportive housing community for men and women exiting homelessness. MUST BE ELIGIBLE for FEDERAL WORK-STUDY. This is off-campus employment, so reliable transportation is important.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION – Fielding in-bound phone calls, handling minor neighbor concerns, and creating general capacity by executing administrative tasks (filing, copies, recording data, etc.) 

REQUIRED HARD SKILLS - Proficiency in technical and computer skills (Word, excel, phone and email). Reliable form of transportation and license. Time management and prioritization ability.

REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS - Intentionality, personable, adaptable, motivated and eager to learn, mature and communicable Christian Faith and spiritual life. Willingness to work alongside formerly homeless men and women.

LEARNING OUTCOMES - Familiarity with Mission Waco and Creekside Community Village. Experience working toward administrative proficiency, creative problem solving and flexible thinking/planning skills, facility management skills, and experiential knowledge of the importance and impact of community service and poverty alleviation. 

Hourly Rate: $11-$12.50/hour (depending on new or returning student worker status and/or any recognized special skill level)
