About the Role

 


 HealthPartners is offering a 18-month postgraduate fellowship program to Physician Assistants interested in advanced training in Emergency Medicine with a targeted start date of March/June 2027. 

 

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Regions Hospital offers a postgraduate program for Physician Assistants interested in advanced training in emergency medicine. The Physician Assistant Fellowship Program collaborates with the existing Physician EM Residency Program and the departments of Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, and Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Regions Hospital and with local outreach hospitals. Regions Hospital is the Level I Trauma and Burn Center for Ramsey County and is in Saint Paul, Minnesota part of the metropolitan Twin Cities. The Emergency Department at Regions has 51,326 square feet, 64 treatment rooms, with approximately 100,000 patients seen annually. PA Fellows train with experienced physicians and PA staff alongside physician emergency medicine residents and students of various disciplines.  EM PA fellows undergo intensive didactic and clinical training preparing them to be skilled partners in care delivery in emergency, acute care, and intensive care settings.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program

 

Note: Applicants may be in final year of completing this requirement with hiring dependent upon successful completion.

 

Required Licensure/Certification:

Current national certification by the NCCPA 

Current certification to practice as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota

 

Note: Candidates are welcome to apply prior to having formal licensure and certification but must be obtained at least 3 months prior to start date of program.

  • Degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA Program prior to matriculation into the program
  • A Baccalaureate degree or higher
  • Eligible for National Certification by the NCCPA. New graduates may apply who are PANCE eligible
  • Minnesota licensure or eligibility
