About the Role

Role Description

 

We are currently seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Governance Analyst & Enablement Intern to join our Information Security team, working remotely (U.S.-based). This is a full-time, 3-month internship with the option to extend by an additional 3 months. The intern will help lay the groundwork for an eventual ISO 27001 certification and gain hands-on exposure to enterprise security governance practices.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Supports the foundation-building work for an eventual ISO 27001 certification.
  • Performs risk assessments.
  • Documents risk treatments and associated follow-up actions.
  • Generates governance-related dashboards for executive team leaders.
  • Assists with security policy formulation and document management.
  • Gathers security control evidence and associated records.
  • Supports management and setup of the governance SaaS platform.
  • Performs various other duties as required.

 

What you should have:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, IT, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with basic security or risk-management concepts (coursework or project experience is acceptable).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly for documentation and evidence tracking.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team.
  • Good communication skills, comfortable in presenting to groups of stakeholders and following up on requests.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

 

Pay & Benefits:

For this role, the estimated hourly rate is between $18 and $20. The actual rate will vary based on various factors, including market, location, and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
