DOF Australia is currently accepting Expressions of Interest for Integrated Rating, Marine Engineer and Deck Officer Cadetships and Traineeships. As part of our commitment to developing the next generation of maritime professionals, we are continually looking to build our talent pool. While we are not currently recruiting for these positions, we encourage interested candidates to register their interest in future opportunities. Please review the eligibility requirements for each Cadetship and Traineeship outlined below before submitting your Expression of Interest.

Integrated Rating Traineeship

As a Trainee Integrated Rating (TIR), you will assist our experienced Deck and Engine crew members to deliver safe and efficient operations on our vessels. Integrated Ratings perform general tasks, which can include anything from repainting surfaces, working in the engine room under the direction of Marine Engineers or on the deck under the watch of Deck Officers. Your dedication, agility, and commitment to safety is invaluable in shaping the future of DOF's Marine Offshore Division. The requirements of this position are:

  • Currently working in the marine industry and/or working towards a marine qualification.
  • Demonstrate a high level of health, safety and environmental practices.

Marine Engineer Cadetship

As a Marine Engineering Cadet, you will support the engineering operations of our advanced offshore vessels. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to safety is an invaluable asset in shaping the future of DOF's Marine Engineering operations. The requirements of this position are:

  • Ideally currently enrolled at the Australian Maritime College (AMC), completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) or equivalent.
  • The ability to obtain and hold a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
  • Relevant maritime operations experience is beneficial, but not essential.

Deck Officer Cadetship

As a Deck Cadet, you will develop your knowledge of deck operations and assist Deck Officers in navigating our world class fleet of vessels. This role serves as a stepping stone for future aspiring Deck Officers, providing them with hands-on experience and essential skills. The requirements of this position are:

  • Ideally currently enrolled at the Australian Maritime College (AMC), completing a Bachelor of Applied Science (Nautical Science) or equivalent.
  • Relevant maritime operations experience is beneficial, but not essential.
