About the Role

Intern ‐ Sourcing

(Based at, Biyagama)

The Activewear Value Stream delivers high-performance sportswear and athleisure solutions designed for technical functionality, durability and everyday versatility— serving sports, lifestyle and performance segments. With a strong focus on innovation, MAS is advancing wearable technology that tracks fitness and workout analytics while blending advanced sportswear with fashion and aesthetic appeal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Share raw material Purchase Orders raised by the procurement team with the suppliers to ensure goods are delivered to the plants on time.

  • Ensure on time PO placements to allocated suppliers and check though reports to ensure system accuracy such as portal.

  • Maintain accurate raw material tracking sheets to pass accurate information to plant connect team.

  • Obtain and analyze delivery charts from the allocated suppliers on a timely manner & collaborate with allocated suppliers one week prior to delivery date to ensure 100% DIFOT.

  • Schedule delivery meetings with suppliers to receive an update on the current delivery status & engage with overseas suppliers for delivery calls on a timely manner to ensure on time delivery

  • Analyze Raw material delays by allocated suppliers & collaborate with suppliers for the raw materials delays and ensure still meet RM commitment to minimize final impact to production.

  • Collaborate with plant connect team to get accurate quality issue timely & address any quality issue of the delivered goods when identified to the respective supplier.

  • Manage Raw materials Stock and claim recoveries related to cost of failures.

  • Liaise with relevant departments and suppliers on a regular basis to ensure the timely completion of selected projects

 

Qualifications, Experience, Skill, and Competencies:

  • Final year undergraduate or graduate in Business Administration or Management.

  • Sound knowledge of MS Office & AI would be an advantage.

  • Strong communication, Problem-Solving, planning, skills.
