About the Role

Intern, Wild Foundation: $16.37/Hour 

Position Summary: As an Intern with the Wild Foundation, you will support key programming and fundraising initiatives such as event planning and execution, auction building and fulfillment, in-game sales, and helping generate vital funds for community impact. You will collaborate with youth hockey associations, regularly work in CRM database with entries and donor communications, and assist the team with various and evolving aspects of the new Skate It Forward initiative. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations and expanding the Foundation’s outreach through meaningful engagement and efficient program execution.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Assist with Foundation programming, fundraising initiatives and events (gala, online auctions, in-game sales).
  • Work closely with youth hockey associations and game night coordinator of program sales to organize game night program sales.
  • Assist with and execute Foundation administrative needs and other miscellaneous assignments or new projects as needed.
  • CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database management input and customer communication. 
  • Assist the team with evolving needs of the Skate It Forward initiative, specifically assisting with association crowdfunding projects and potential research projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences or related field, or equivalent experience.

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience in sports philanthropy is preferred in the areas of community relations, non-profit or event management.
  • Passion and understanding of hockey, specifically community-based hockey in Minnesota, is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) preferred not required.
  • Experience working with Fundraising and Donor management software (specifically GiveSmart) preferred not required.

  • Ability to work independently, make good judgments and be accountable for your work and actions. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within team environments and have fun.

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events. 
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc. 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
