Position Summary
This internship is a great opportunity for a high school student to learn about Human Resources, Training, and Workplace Safety. The intern will assist with basic office tasks, help organize information, create simple documents and presentations, and support the HR team with day-to-day projects. No previous work experience is required—we're looking for someone who is eager to learn, dependable, and enjoys helping others.
Responsibilities
- Help organize paper and electronic files.
- Enter information into spreadsheets and databases.
- Assist with creating and updating simple documents, forms, and presentations.
- Help prepare materials for employee training classes and meetings.
- Make copies, scan documents, and assemble packets.
- Schedule meetings and training sessions with guidance.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Occasionally greet visitors or answer phones when needed.
- Keep employee information private and confidential.
- Perform other office duties as assigned.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
- Is at least 15 years old.
- Is currently enrolled in high school.
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn.
- Is dependable and arrives on time.
- Is organized and pays attention to details.
- Can follow directions and ask questions when unsure.
- Is comfortable using or learning Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Works well with others and communicates respectfully.
- Can handle confidential information responsibly.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace through school.
- Participation in school clubs, student leadership, volunteer work, or community activities.
- Interest in business, human resources, training, or office administration.

Language Skill
- Ability to read and interpret documents such a safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers of employees of organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must demonstrate concern and take actions to meet requirements and high standards of quality of both internal and external customers. Must display courtesy and sensitivity. Manage difficult situations. Meet commitments. Respond promptly to customer needs. Solicit customer feedback to improve service.
