Job Description

Role Summary/Purpose:

Leads the execution & change of manufacturing processes while supporting production.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI), documenting process changes, driving process / fixture improvements, driving lead and cycle time improvements, cost of quality (COQ), and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) actions.
  • Participate & Drive LEAN initiatives for process improvements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and product cycles.
  • Maintain the manufacturing engineering system on part routing and standards.
  • Design necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing NPI’s and for process improvements.
  • Manage multiple projects by providing scheduling, resource management, budget control and EHS compliance.
  • Interface with vendors and internal contacts in an effective manner to ensure that the technical and EHS perspective is properly conveyed.
  • Act as change agent, understanding and moving the operation toward world-class performance.
  • Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships.
  • Participate in EHS related actions, to improve safety in own area.

METRICS:

Main metrics applicable for this operation are: EHS: 0 OSHA; 100% On time closure for Findings and Concerns. Quality: Reduction in total cost of quality per business guidelines. VCP: Drive to completion VCP projects. Improve labor efficiency by 10%. Inventory: Meet inventory targets. Service: Schedule attainment above 90% to guarantee stock availability.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Technology Field.

  • Prior experience as a process leader and with implementing productivity tools.
  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills (Bilingual)
