About the Role

WJCL, the ABC affiliate in Savannah, Georgia is offering a temporary paid internship working alongside our technology team. The technology team designs, installs, manages, and supports all broadcast, information technology, communications, and infrastructure systems for the business. 

Goals and structure of the internship are designed to provide exposure and learning opportunities across various technologies and systems used in the current media and broadcast environment. Students in degree tracks or with interest in careers in broadcasting technology, multimedia production and streaming, information technology, electrical engineering, and communications technology will especially benefit from this internship. 

Internships are paid, with a maximum of 24 hours per week for 10 weeks. The intern will have structured introductions and training on systems in the WJCL technological ecosystems and skills & theory that apply to all broadcast and technology environments. The primary focus of the internship is to provide hands-on learning & broad understanding of a technical production environment alongside the WJCL technology team members by shadowing and performing daily and project-focused tasks.
