Mexico's Drive the Future Program is designed to strengthen JPMorganChase’s early-career talent pipeline by attracting and developing university students with their first professional experience while completing their studies. 
 
Through a structured training and development experience, participants receive educational content designed to help them navigate the organization, develop key technical and interpersonal skills, and gain a deeper understanding of the JPMorganChase culture. They will also gain exposure to the firm’s culture, values, and organizational structure while building a strong professional network. 
 
During this journey in our program, you’ll collaborate with our expert professionals to influence and shape decisions and initiatives that support our businesses across the firm. You'll have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions while developing your professional expertise in a dynamic team environment.  

In Mexico, DTF opportunities are open to students from all universities in CDMX. If you are looking to gain professional experience while pursuing your degree, this could be the beginning of something great. Take into consideration that participants are hired for 24 months period (this is a 2 years program). This role requires part-time, availability in Ciudad de Mexico.

In this opportunity, the Institutional Solutions participant will work with the Fixed Income Solutions team supporting daily activities as well as ongoing projects including pitches, presentations, trade follow up, KYC, and client onboarding, among others.

The Fixed Income Solutions team provides a wide range of products including Cash Bonds, Rates, FX, Derivatives, Financing and Structured Solutions to Institutional clients in Mexico such as Banks, Pension Funds, Mutual Funds and Insurance Companies. We work in partnership with the Trading, Structuring and Economic Research teams to provide our clients with the best market color and product execution, aiming to offer the solutions that accurately fit their needs.

For this role it is paramount to develop technical and professional knowledge regarding the products J.P. Morgan offers. The ability to quickly build rapport with both clients and colleagues in other areas within J.P. Morgan is of relevance as well. Basic knowledge of finance, being up to date on current events around the world, and being keen to learn about financial products and markets in general is desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pricing a wide variety of products (rates, currency and volatility derivatives, repo structures, structured notes, among others)
  • Post-trade execution
  • Developing presentations for Client Pitches
  • Screening and presenting industry data & recent developments
  • Building calculators for price monitoring 
  • Constructing and sharing trade ideas
  • Following up with the KYC team regarding our clients documentation

 

Job Requirements:

 

These opportunities are intended for advanced university students of Economics who have approximately one year to one and a half years remaining until graduation in:

 

  • Advanced university students of Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineer, Accountancy, Finance or related.

  • Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency

  • Availability to work 30 hours per week

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Highly organized and disciplined, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

  • Team-oriented, with strong collaboration and emerging leadership skills

  • Proactive and dynamic, with the ability to perform well under pressure

  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen

  • Strong data skills, including proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of Power BI and/or SQL, to analyze and interpret data to support decision-making

  • Proficiency with AI tools (e.g., generative AI) to improve productivity, analysis, and problem-solving, using sound judgment and following applicable guidelines
