Your Day-to-Day

As an Intern within our Water Business – Water Infrastructure and Advisory & Planning team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while developing your technical and professional capabilities.

Your responsibilities may include:

     Water Infrastructure

·       Support the feasibility, options assessment and design of water and wastewater infrastructure, including reservoirs, pump stations, pipelines and treatment plants.

·       Assist with engineering calculations, data analysis, technical documentation and design tasks under the guidance of experienced engineers.

·       Gain exposure to different stages of the project lifecycle, from concept development through to delivery.

·       Gain exposure with coordinating and inspecting site investigations to inform designs and projects under construction.

·       Contribute to sustainable solutions that help provide reliable water services and protect public health and the environment within your local community and globally.

      Planning & Advisory

·       Assist with the planning and assessment of water and wastewater infrastructure to support growing communities.

·       Support data and spatial analysis, hydraulic and demand modelling, engineering calculations and technical reporting.

·       Gain exposure to feasibility studies, hydraulic capacity assessments and infrastructure options analysis.

·       Work with multidisciplinary teams to help develop innovative, efficient and sustainable solutions for client

You'll collaborate with experienced professionals, learn industry best practices, and gain exposure to a variety of projects and clients within the Water team.

About You

We're looking for curious, motivated, and collaborative students who are passionate about making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

You'll ideally:

  • Be in your penultimate year of study (completing your degree in 2027).
  • Be currently undertaking an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Show initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
  • Be committed to delivering sustainable and innovative solutions.
  • Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen
