About the Role

The Program: Morningstar’s Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to our mission-driven culture. As a Sales Development Intern, you’ll be part of a cohort of interns across the company, participating in training, mentorship, and networking opportunities while contributing meaningfully to our sales organization. We welcome students from all majors who are curious, driven, and passionate about making an impact. This internship is ideal for those interested in exploring a career in sales, client engagement, and financial services 

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Learn how to identify potential clients and build lead lists using tools like LinkedIn and CRM platforms. 
  • Assist in drafting outreach emails and call scripts to support sales campaigns. 
  • Shadow SDRs and regional sales reps to observe client conversations and understand the sales cycle. 
  • Contribute to small projects that improve sales processes or client engagement strategies. 

Location:  Chicago  

Compensation: $25 per hour

What we look for  

  • Between 0-2 years of professional work experience.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (graduating in 2027 or later). 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Interest in financial markets, investing, or financial technology. 
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Demonstrated leadership or involvement in campus organizations or previous internship experience is a plus.
