Join us as a Contract Management & Procurement Governance Intern and gain hands-on experience in procurement governance, vendor management, spend analysis, and contract management within the Enterprise business. In this role, you will be involved in reviewing vendor spending patterns, supporting procurement optimization initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders, and assisting in the establishment of procurement contracts and Outline Agreements (OA).
This internship offers an opportunity to develop analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills while contributing to projects that enhance procurement efficiency, compliance, and governance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Support spend analysis activities by reviewing historical purchase and invoice transactions across multiple vendors.
Analyze purchasing data based on vendor, product or service category, business unit, purchase frequency, transaction volume, expenditure trends, and purchasing patterns.
Consolidate spending information to establish annualized spend baselines and vendor spend profiles.
Assist in identifying purchasing trends and categorizing requirements into:
Predictable requirements
Variable requirements
Project-based requirements
Ad hoc or exceptional purchases
Engage with internal stakeholders to gather historical and future demand requirements.
Support demand and spend forecasting activities by collecting expenditure projections and comparing them against historical purchasing patterns.
Assist in developing estimated annual contract values, transaction volumes, and spend forecasts.
Identify procurement categories that may be suitable for Outline Agreements (OA), framework agreements, rate contracts, or other commercial arrangements.
Prepare supporting information required for procurement and contract development, including:
Historical expenditure analysis
Purchase frequency data
Demand forecasts
Scope of goods and services
Vendor information
Business justifications
Pricing information
Contract duration requirements
Expected contract values
Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, business stakeholders, and vendors to support sourcing and contracting activities.
Track contract and Outline Agreement progress through review, negotiation, approval, and implementation stages.
Maintain proper documentation, records, and audit trails to ensure compliance with procurement governance requirements.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
Analytical Skills:
Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with large transaction and vendor datasets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and spend tracking.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in analysis, forecasting, and documentation.
Problem-solving mindset to identify spending trends, procurement opportunities, and process improvements.
Communication Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement, reporting, and documentation.
Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders across business units, Procurement, Finance, and vendors.
Soft Skills:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to follow up systematically on outstanding actions and deliverables.
Adaptability and eagerness to learn procurement, contract management, and commercial governance processes.
High level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
Technical Knowledge (Advantageous):
Basic understanding of procurement, contract management, vendor management, or commercial processes.
Knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, Power BI, procurement systems, or contract management tools is an advantage but not mandatory.
