About The Company
Vivira Health Lab GmbH is a digital health company that develops and markets digital health applications in the field of musculoskeletal disorders. The aim is to support people with musculoskeletal conditions in reducing pain and restoring physical functionality through digital therapy programs. The company, headquartered in Berlin, was founded in 2015 by Dr. Philip Heimann and rehabilitation clinic operators Dr. Petra Becker (Dr. Becker Klinikgruppe, Cologne) and Fabian Blank (formerly Meduna Klinikverbund, Bad Bertrich). The Medical Board of Vivira Health Lab GmbH is led by Dr. Markus Klingenberg (Beta Klinik, Bonn). The company’s first product, Vivira, is the most prescribed prescription app for back pain. It offers guideline-based movement therapy designed to reduce pain using functional training principles. Vivira is a CE-marked medical device and has been permanently listed by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) as a Digital Health Application (DiGA) in the directory of reimbursable products. This makes the company the first DiGA manufacturer in Germany to successfully achieve the crucial triad of: proof of medical benefit as a BfArM-listed DiGA, confirmation of patient safety through ISO 13485 certification, and verification of data protection through ISO 27001 certification.

Help build the IT backbone of one of Germany's leading Digital Health companies.

At Vivira, you'll do far more than reset passwords or prepare laptops. As our Working Student in IT & Security, you'll help ensure that a fast-growing Digital Health company in Berlin runs smoothly every day: from onboarding new colleagues and managing modern SaaS applications to supporting our security infrastructure.

You'll work side by side with experienced colleagues, gain hands-on experience in a modern, cloud-based environment, and contribute to technology that helps thousands of patients manage back pain through Germany's first permanently reimbursable Digital Health Application (DiGA).

If you're studying Computer Science (or a related field) and want real hands-on experience in IT & SecuritySecurity rather than just an internship title, we'd love to meet you.

Your responsibilities include

  • IT Helpdesk & Technical Support: You support the Vivira IT Helpdesk, providing remote and on-site first-level support for software, tools and general troubleshooting.

  • On-site Infrastructure: While some tasks can be done remotely, you'll regularly be at our Mindspace Stadtmitte office to provide hands-on support for IT hardware and security infrastructure.

  • On- & Offboarding: You support IT onboarding and offboarding, from the physical setup of the office to preparing hardware for new colleagues and collecting it from departing ones.

  • SaaS Administration: You assist in managing a variety of SaaS applications, user accounts and access permissions.

  • Hardware Maintenance: You help oversee repairs and replacements of equipment so our team is always well-equipped.

  • Network Infrastructure: You support the monitoring of our network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers and VPN solutions.

  • Documentation: You help keep system configurations, policies and procedures up to date.

  • IT Security: You support security initiatives such as Access Management, endpoint security, MFA and device compliance.

What You'll Learn

Hands-on experience most students only read about in lectures:

  • Modern Apple/macOS administration & endpoint management (MDM)

  • Cloud-based IT infrastructure and SaaS administration

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM) and IT security fundamentals

  • Device lifecycle management

  • IT operations in a regulated Digital Health environment

  • Supporting distributed, remote-first teams

You'll work with a modern, cloud-first toolset, including MDM for our Apple fleet, single sign-on and IAM, a leading productivity suite, and current endpoint security and network solutions. We'll walk you through the full stack in the first conversation.

What you should bring

  • You're currently enrolled in Computer Science, Business Informatics or another technical degree program at a university in Berlin or nearby.

  • You can regularly work from our office in Mindspace Stadtmitte, right in the center of Berlin

  • You have a solid understanding of macOS and enjoy solving technical problems.

  • You're interested in IT administration, infrastructure and information security.

  • You enjoy helping people and communicate in a friendly, service-oriented way.

  • You work in a structured, reliable and proactive manner.

  • You're fluent in English and have at least B1-level German, since you'll regularly support colleagues on-site.

  • Previous experience through personal projects, internships or student jobs (Werkstudent, HiWi, IT support) is a plus, but not required.

What to expect at Vivira

  • Pay: €16–20 per hour, depending on your experience, for a 20-hour working student position that fits around your studies.

  • Flexibility: Working hours that adjust to your lecture schedule and exam periods.

  • Workplace: Work from home or from our Berlin HQ in a central location (Mindspace Stadtmitte), with high-quality Apple hardware.

  • Recharge: Paid vacation days for real breaks and new energy.

  • Health: Mobility and back power directly from us, with digital support you can use yourself.

  • Corporate benefits: Exclusive deals for shopping, tech and more.

  • Referral bonus: Sharing your network pays off. Every successful referral is rewarded.

  • Highlights: Several company and team events per year for exchange, fun and a real sense of team.

  • Real ownership: Responsibility from day one, flat hierarchies and experienced colleagues who take time to mentor you.

  • A real perspective: High-performing working students are regularly considered for full-time positions after graduation.

Good to Know

  • How many hours per week? 20 hours during the semester, scheduled flexibly around your studies.

  • Where is the job located? In Berlin-Mitte at Mindspace Stadtmitte, with a hybrid setup: you'll work partly on-site, partly remotely.

  • Do I need to speak German? B1-level German is enough; our working language is English.

  • Do I need previous work experience? No. Genuine interest in IT administration and security plus solid macOS knowledge is what counts.

  • Can this lead to a full-time job? Yes. High-performing working students are regularly offered full-time roles after graduation.
