Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Intern (FPGA) to join our innovative team developing cutting-edge AI Infrastructure Testing solutions. This role is strongly focused on FPGA development, with most responsibilities centered on the design, implementation, and verification of next-generation FPGA-based architectures.

In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers across hardware, software, and system domains, with a primary emphasis on developing and validating advanced FPGA development methodologies for leading-edge applications. You will be involved in all phases of the product development lifecycle from architecture definition and RTL design to verification, hardware bring-up, and product release.

If you are passionate about FPGA based designs, eager to grow into a highly skilled FPGA expert, and excited to work on state-of-the-art technologies in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, we invite you to join our team. You will collaborate with global R&D teams in India, Romania and the US and contribute to world-class solutions at the forefront of technology innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of FPGA-based solutions for AI Infrastructure Testing systems
  • Implement and verify digital designs using modern FPGA technologies (e.g., high-speed interfaces, memory subsystems)
  • Participate in architecture definition and translate system requirements into FPGA design specifications
  • Develop RTL code (e.g., VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog) and support simulation and verification activities
  • Support integration, bring-up, and debugging of FPGA designs on hardware platforms
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers to ensure overall product performance and functionality
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
  • Document design work, results, and technical learnings

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals (logic design, state machines, timing concepts)
  • Experience with FPGA development flows (RTL design, simulation, synthesis, and debug)
  • Exposure to hardware description languages (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred

  • Academic or internship experience with FPGA design projects
  • Basic knowledge of high-speed digital systems or communication interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, SerDes)
  • Familiarity with simulation and verification tools and methodologies
  • Exposure to lab measurements and debugging on real hardware

Interest in test and measurement applications
