Edelman Malaysia is looking for an enthusiastic PR Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience in public relations and integrated communications. If you are curious, proactive, and passionate about storytelling, media, and brand communications, this internship offers the opportunity to learn from experienced consultants while supporting a diverse portfolio of clients and campaigns.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team with day-to-day account coordination and administrative tasks.
  • Monitor and compile media coverage, preparing coverage reports and summaries.
  • Conduct media, industry, competitor, and trend research to support client recommendations and campaign planning.
  • Assist in drafting and proofreading basic communications materials, including media lists, press releases, pitches, briefing notes, social media copy, and client reports.
  • Help maintain media and influencer databases, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Support the planning and execution of client events, media engagements, influencer activities, and campaign activations, both virtual and on-ground.
  • Assist with presentation preparation, meeting notes, and internal documentation.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for integrated communications campaigns.
  • Work collaboratively with the team while demonstrating a willingness to learn, take initiative, and continuously develop new skills.

 

Requirement

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Available for an internship of at least three months.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Curious, eager to learn, and interested in the PR, communications, and marketing industry.
  • Well-organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable conducting online research and summarizing findings clearly.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Prior internship experience, campus leadership, or involvement in student organizations is an advantage but not required.
